I’m a fantasy/horror/sf writer. Latest novel: RHYMER (Baen Books), the first in a 3-book series. Also SHADOWBRIDGE & FITCHER’S BRIDES. Latest short fiction in Asimov’s Magazine (May/June). Won an Asimov Readers Award for a collaborative story with Michael Swanwick. Have been World Fantasy, Bram Stoker, Nebula, Hugo, International Horror Guild and Theodore Sturgeon award finalist. I taught fiction writing at Swarthmore College for 18 years. “The secret of a long life is to try not to shorten it.”
